Searchmetrics has recently released its 2016 study and analysis of Google ranking factor of the top 20 results of 10,000 keywords in Google.com.


Summary of the Study:

The result of the study shows that content relevance is gaining in importance with Google , while backlinks are a declining ranking signal. Infact, the URLs with the highest content relevance are those on positions 3 to 6 in teh SERP; and the average Bounce Rate for URLs on the first page of search results is 46 percent.


Mobile friendly website:

The top 100 most visible domains all have mobile-friendly solutions for smartphone users. Outside the top 100, the rate is around 78 percent.
